Wow. Only a couple of years ago there were these Trojan comps *everywhere*, but now some hard to find. I think that re-issue was a year or two ago, it's amazing that it's out-of-print. I guess their purchaser has the rights to re-release but who knows if they think that there is a market for it. There is a ska comp I have been looking for a long time, to no avail. I'll keep checking used record stores hoping it'll turn up.

A good point to consider on CDs: a lot of vinyl stuff that changes hands for a lot of money today was in the delete bins of yesterday. People may be discounting the possibilities that CDs are collectible too. I guess time will tell.

yes. Who would have thought that CDs might be considered collectible.
Well why not if they are a medium that contains music that you want.
I'd expect I could find a copy if I spent quite a bit more time searching - but right now I'm 'working' and I really don't want to deal with that whole thing of - 'it's $70 (or whatever) should I or should I not?'for a 2nd hand copy, you know what I mean?

If I had time I'd check the 2nd hand record shops but these days it isn't really a viable option...

The come back darling cd on trojan was part of the limited edition Trojan Fan Club reissues. I think only 1000 individual numbered copys. So not that many arround.

I think a mention should be made for some of Johnnys Candian output. He did some wonderful works. First Trumpet on the Pallo label (12"), his redo of Nyah Man called Leaving Babylon on the Wild Cat (7") label & even his rare DJ sides (flip side of Knocking On Heavens Door by Burt Jackson brother of R.Zee Jackson) on the B.J. Records label (12") not to forget his works at Summer Records with a almost complete redo of his Warrior LP.

I tried to upload files for listening but the site was rejecting me.... I will try again soon.

Hey, check this out!

[cover=1144,1315]

If this cover art worked, thanks leggo! If not, I'm truly stupid :)

I don't know what I would think of this one if it hadn't been the first one I heard. But since it was, and since I knew nothing about reggae when I heard it, it's always held a special place in my collection. There's a pretty tuff remake of Purify Your Heart on it(Of course, at the time, I assumed this was the original)

Thanks, I actually didn't know about that, but I bet it's good. At least I know I like a lot of the riddims on that record.

Each to his own, of course, but I bought this when it came out and I've never thought much of it. The only upside is that my copy is in mint condition! :)
