There is a reggae CD - kinda lightweight but at a price to match - of reggae songs about food and drink and the island in a touristic kinda vibe. Is called Cafe Jamaica and some of it is quite nice still:

Mind you dis, surely when they put the track LIQUIDATOR, they thought it was LIQUIDIZER!!

Macka b had a track called national dish or something like that, in 1983
part of it went

overall a great song.
Food scandal by Macka b is hilarious, dealing with the 1989 food scandal on eggs brought on by Edwina Currie.
