Been waiting many months for The Mighty Upsetter to get a U.S. release, also.
...and waiting...and waiting.
Very tempted to buy the cd from Amazon.co.uk for £9.98. On-U Sound also has the mp3s for sale at 320 kbps.
I keep hearing, though, that it's going to be released here, so I wait. And now I'm waitng for the dub companion, Dubsetter, to come out.
They say it's coming, but I'm still waiting.

Whoever is in charge of the On-U Sound brand these days has been making promises that they've not been keeping for several years now. There was meant to be a load of reissues of classic albums coming out in 2006 but nothing ever happened. It's rather annoying.

they have reissued their "classic" albums over and over and over again. im sure you can find them if you look...like the overpriced japan reissues of a few years back with the bonus tracks. im a sucker so i bought a couple of them despite the fact i have the original LPs and most reissues as well.
but yeah, youre right: they announce stuff and it never materializes, i remember that way back in the 80s.
on the other hand, they are consistent!

JB: Mighty Upsetter was only released in Japan and the UK and I don't think on vinyl. There is now a dub companion called The Mighty Dubsetter, released earlier this year. As Funky Punk wrote, probably Amazon UK is your best bet.

i agree with leggo and mick, in regards to scratch just being a bit...nuts.
i have little to absolutely no interest in anything he's done since basically 1980.
sorry, mad prof fans...it's just not my cup of tea.
scratch live? well, if you wanna see a crazy man babble about whatever comes to his mind at that moment, go for it...for me, though, i need to save my money for other things.
that pumpum vid and music is crap.
but
i still like the guy, but more because he is an icon, and above all, one hell of an entertaining crazy man. his music has turned to shit but you gotta love him anyway.
hell, i'd love to hang out with scratch for a few days. what a buzz that would be!

I thought he had some really good tracks on some of his albums from a few years ago(Panic In Babylon and Alien Starman) such as: Emperor Haile Selassie Light, The Sound of the Underground, On the streets again, Perry's Ballad, I am a Psychiatrist and Purity Rock.
