my question is: why was Scientist called the High Priest of Dub some 20 odd years ago? Also, if Bill Laswell can be given the master tapes of Bob Marley & the Wailer to give them the dub treatment on Ambient Dub, & receive the credit, why is there a problem when it comes to Dub's Rightful Ruler who, in fact, was mentor to the creator of dub? When I didn't know a thing about dub music, I always noticed a sticker on reggae LPs which always stated that the music was mixed by King Tubbys. I and I said it once before, I and I will say it again: Hopeton Overton Brown AKA, Scientist,is Dub's Rightful Ruler, with no apologies. & with all due respect Isaac, had two sons, the 1st born Esau & the 2nd, Jacob. Yet Jacob was the heir. Such is the case concerning King Tubby's rightful heir. So why is rhere a different standard when it comes to Jamaica's dub pioneers like SCIENTIST? All of today's pretenders to dub's throne can't hold an aural, sonic or sound boy match to Scientist's testament, revealed through his dub legacy, along with the Roots Radics Band. Long live their world wide legacy for Ever. GIve thanks, DUB TAFARI

Don't think in bible quotes. its all a matter of marketing and sales. if you put for example the name king tubby or lee perry on the sleeve it will sell much better..

After reading the Scientist interview as stated by Karl NZ on
http://www.unitedreggae.com/articles/n2 ... -scientist, this might have solved the mystery i had about Danhttp://
www.roots-archives.com/display_artwork/3647.jpggerous Dub (King Tubby Meets The Roots Radics).
The first time i played this album i could feel that it wasn't King Tubby on the mixing desk but Scientist.
The sound is rich & heavy (gong sound). We had a lot of chat, listening & re-listening with my colleagues but ended up giving up.
I told them that this is the first heavy dub from Tubbys that i love, but the interview has solved the mystery.

So what about the Album called "More Dangerous Dub"? Obviously not mixed by Tubby. The rhythms are from the mid 80s (African Beat, Broader than Broadway). I'm talking about this album here:
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/5242
Mixed by Jah Screw or one of his engineers?

Isn't the re-release of Scientist In The Kingdom of Dub worse than any of the fakes out there? Imagine the excitement of waiting to hear some new Scientist tracks you've never heard before only to hit an anticlimax.
Whoever is behind this blatant lie should be locked up in a cell and made to listen to heavy metal for the rest of their life!

I should've said reissue rather than re-release. I'm talking about this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Scientist-Kingdom ... CDs_CDs_GL
(also listed at
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingdom-Dub-Sci ... B001GBUKF2)
Almost all (if not all) of the so called "plus 9 previously unreleased bonus tracks" tracks do not sound at all like Scientist's work and worse, I think 2 of the original LP tracks are mislabeled( i.e they don't correspond to the original cuts on the 1981 release).
