Had a couple of spine-tingling moments this morning listening to some Northern Soul - The Drifter by Ray Pollard (not the same as the Dennis Walks song) and then Moving Away by Kenny Lynch (which is the same as the Ken Boothe song), but for the full reggae experience it's probably got to be Theme A Ling off Juk's Incorporation for me, incredible deep stuff.

Twin Roots "Know Love" produced by Scratch. Specifically @ the 3:46, 4:44 and The 6 minute mark. Deep, dark roots perfection.

The entire song "Black Right" on Keith Hudson's "Pick a Dub." The first time I listened to that album, goosebumps hit me right then and I knew the album was a classic. I'm still booming 10 years later.
Who am I kidding, 90% of Hudson's music does this to me.

what a thread!
Congos "open the gates"
Israel Vibration "I'll go through"(especially the intro just knocks me out!)
King tubby "wedding ring dub"
Bob marley+wailers "give thanks and praises"
Aswad "its not our wish"(showcase version when towards the end it cuts to the intrumental)
these to me are songs you feel not listen to:)

BB Seaton : I'm Aware Of Love (12 inch Grove)
Just love the keyboard bubbles when it turns dubwise, pure niceness (and what a bassline ! ) ...

Great thread!! One that really gets me is 'Dread Ina Babylon' by Toyan. More precisely the organ intro is so powerful.
I still listen to it with as much pleasure as the first times, nevermind the killer drums and bassline!

Sistren - Black Uhuru
the ending where Mickey, Puma & Duckie harmonize w/o the band. signature harmony that's the essence of Uhuru's music.

1. The part when Alton sings "everybody knows" in the song, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (check I Roy's version, Melinda, also).
2. The thought of getting a copy of More Axe 2! Can't wait - 22 years overdue!
