I'm on the fence on these - on one hand, of COURSE these amazing slices of the time should be chronicled and released to great fanfare! Think about if these CD's had NOT been released - literally, one of a kind mixes would most likely go unheard by fans and collectors alike. On the other hand, I find some of the mixes "pedestrian" and not quite as good as a lot of other Perry madness. A good listen for sure (heck, I bought them both!), but NOT sure if I would recommend them for anyone but a completist or rabid fan. I found that the other Perry collections on Pressure Sounds ("Produced And Directed..." and "Voodooism") to have tracks obscure enough to satisfy my urge for the seldom heard, but accessible enough to appeal to my love of a GREAT single...

Does the CD come with a nice booklet?

I'm trying to decide which format to pick up, and that could make a difference. Both CD and 2xLP have 18 tracks.

Thanx

CD booklets are pretty good, small-ish but some good photos...

Thanks Marky. They should include those with the LPs also. Even better would be if they were printed album size.

I'm with everyone else on this, pt 2 is better than the first 'sound system scratch' and the cd comes with a nice booklet. Never have noticed a huge difference with the audio between cd and vinyl with Pressure sounds so think you'd be safe with the cd. Vinyl is not a gatefold anyway and the 2 lps just sit in the same small sleeve. Sure it's all a cost thing so not complaining. Would rather have these remain reasonably priced. New Caltone collection is up next for Pressure Sounds,it's pt 2 of Safe travel.....
