Nice topic but simply impossible for me. After 12 years listining onlyr roots reggae of 70"s, i can't find only 5 tracks.
I ve got a lot in my head, but can't choose.

Jamaicain Reggae Music is highest music production in the world.

- What a Fire by Leroy Brown
- Rasta By Delroy Washington
- Bird In Hand By the Upsterrs
- Burn Babylon by Sylford Walker
- Pablo Moses Clinton Fearon...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE and its make me crazy looking 12 000 traks what is the best.

My answer:

off the top of my head:

ah

dillinger - african worldwide (roots natty congo one)
junior byles - place called africa/the version by dr alimantado
leroy smart - ballistic affair. over and over i cant stop
marcia griffiths- pretty much all of "naturally," esp. dreamland
sandra cross - country living.

its those "oh christ thats good" moments that can really save an otherwise dull track. esp. in regards to dub. feels like studio one basically shat out those moments every freaking day
