I have the Jesus Dread BAFCD for a few years and being a BAF CD and such great music it is more than satisfying. Works really well as a collection of vocals, DJ and Dub cuts and the sound is way better than on the other couple of Yabba You (U, Youth) CDs I have (that have some of the same tracks).
Though my ears would be open to hearing the vinyl on a good system...might never happen though!

I swore when B&F reissued that, that it was a new thing. I couldn't get into the sound at all.
Don't even know if i saw that cover before. Why an acoustic gtr? Why do I even ask?
But it's growing on me a bit - though I find the dub mixing a bit careful - calculated sounding. Tame even. It's nice but a bit lacking in - fireworks? Tell me your choice tracks...
The vocal is too much Horace for me and definitely the dubs work better than the vocal!

well, see that's why Leggo, I need to go listen again and maybe grow into it myself.
regarding the dub - being a dub guy, i think with this album I expected too much and perhaps the subtleties escaped me at the time and subsequently.
So little time to listen these days, but this is one to get back to.
The HA vocal - I love him sometimes on some tracks - don't like the vocal quirks in a lot of his stuff - probably not going to change on that - maybe just soften
Playing music, knowing the ins and outs has frankly only enhanced my appreciation of it. When I started playing it was as an outsider/amateur - I loved music so much I NEEDed to play. It's about expression. My thing as a kid was always writing - somehow as a grown up it is music - maybe I'll move on to sculpture or something later (?). I'm very happy with this music 'wife' of mine. Doesn't make me any significant $, but I get to do it as I want.
yes, doing things professionally spoils a lot of the fun. You should try dealing with publishers all day! Oh, you sort of do...
