Big sound frontline by Michael Rose is a poor album, very digital, with hurried tunes that do little to inspire.Two decent tracks, the rest rather poor.I dislike the way vocal snippets say "rudeboy " over n over on one of the final tracks.No need for that.There ought to be decent vocals or none at all.I see i paid 7-99 for that tripe!!!

And dub 911 is a shocker, oh man how dull an album this truly is.Scientist seems to be going downhill, just like Gregory Isaacs.

Scientist is still doing good things, he is even mixing music in the pop genre( interpol the killers, matisjahu ) Thing is a lot of people put out records and stuff with his name on it, while is not from his hands (same with Lee Perry and King Tubby) just because it will sell better.

Dub from the Ghetto - is that the Trojan comp? Isn't that supposed to be a best-of?

I agree with dehdeh regarding garveys ghost, a swell dub album with some real neat tunes on the disc.Great dub to Tradition , one of the tracks on the vocal disc.
Dont know if dub from the ghetto was even Trojan, and if its a best of then obviously to me its not his best as his best ever stuff was mostly Greensleeves.

Just heard rub a dub ..computer 1..king tubby..on esoldun records.Shockingly naff digi dub style, fake instruments all over the shop.Really dire but track 1 is neat and a sweet rhythm too.Avoid the mess herein..esoldun never were a great label.

Ranking dread in dub has a few weak tracks but my scientist high priest of dub , the fake version is a real disappointment

Just listening again to ranking dread in dub. IMHO its a top LP. Not all tracks are equal in quality, but overall the album really has a distinct feeling. Few vocal snippets of Ranking Dread are great, riddims are reworked in an original way, and the mix is somewhat heavy, the drum n bass emphasis works wonderful with the badass image of ranking dread. Its not the best dub album per se but i think they did a great job conveying the "weird", distinctive style of RD.
