Do you have the Barry G v Rodigan Clash tape from either 85 or 86. Rodigan played some classic dubplate specials from Jammy's. From memory, one was on the "Things A Come Up To Bump" rhythm and another was on a Jammy's cut of "Ali Baba" which had vocals something like "Down in the ghetto where the people come from they play the reggae music all night long". My tape of it was stolen out of my car in 1988 so I haven't heard those tunes since.

Respect

Rob
This cassette will go down in history. Pure class man !

I really enjoyed the tribute to King Tubby show presented by David Rodigan live on Capitol Radio when King Jammy was on the line from Jamaica. How can i have a copy of this tribute on CD or MP3.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, I've got some Rodigan 'Roots Rockers' tapes from 1981 - '83. Anyone out there into swapping tapes. I'm interested in early ones, say from 1979 - 1982. I've recently burnt them onto CD, most of them are crystal clear, like going back in time! Please email me if you're interested in swapping.
Best regards
Ron

Some glory pon u all, Rodigan is a UK beacon for his love of roots. His 'version excursion' on his Capital Radio show was the perfect way to relax into a Saturday nights' moving and shaking!

His residency at Gossips in Dean St, alongside Papa Face was legendary...

He has the respect of the Jamdown massiv, and has been true to his love of the music, and yes, on Kiss his music is current, but he still checks for the old time style and fashion...

A UK Mikey Dread...

;) 1 Love

One of these days some of you need to get some of his old tapes up on a podcast or something.

I saw him in Brixton last time I was in town and it was a lovely evening! I hope I'm that bad @$$ when I'm his age.
