ok universal soldier.
i know morgan heritage is into love reggae and jah cure is into set free and injustice, luciano is quite biblical but THE MUSIC sounds quite weak ... capleton, sizzla, bounty, turbullence sounds violent altmost like a couple of tin rolling over stairs.and is really bad MUSICALLY ... overuse the synth. digital drums, fake horns and abominal percussion sounds is or not ?
and what about the message ? of course during the 70's is not a secret the political violence in jamaica traks like police & thieves among others talk about the situation during that period of time there . during the 80's the dancehall and the slackness, yellowman, eek a mouse and many more and since that moment begun the digital era the reggae for me is like bob, culture, burning, gladiators, don carlos,israel.....
real players good and conciusness lyrics

everybody is free to explain theyr point of view here i just want to share my opinion . is a forum..

Well i believe alot of the people mentioned like luciano, capleton, sizzla, bounty are all dancehall. And it would be impossible to group them all as the same type of dancehall.

I wish roots-archives would become the reggae-archives and cover all areas old to new.

Send me an email roots-archives if you want help in researching and developing reggae-archives.

I'd be happy to see Roots Archives stay as it is, and not extend its reach to later years. Maybe 7-7 wants to start a site called digital reggae archives, or dancehall archives. Would be interesting, but isn't needed as an add on to this site. In my opinion...

The Sound of young Jamaica
that is what they say at Studio One.

Play the sound of now 2006
If you don't like refuse it.
But don't put it down.

See still people on this board have no idee of
reggae music and the jamaican way of living.
They live today.

Reggae music is a live and progress day by day.
It never grow old.
