I say this in another post, but the reply is relevant here to so excuse me for repeating myself:

Fadel

I am not a great fan of Jazz, I much prefer Swing and Boogie Woogie.

I expecially don't really like the more experimental improvised jazz but I love the comparison of Jimmy Smith with Jackie Mittoo.

I do like Jimmy Smith's stuff and have some on CD.

I have many Mittoo LPs on vinyl where the line between Jazz and reggae starts to blur. Great stuff.

Other Jazz I do like includes the brilliant Stan Getz - Jazz Samba LP.

Fadel. All my Mitto is on Vinyl. i can convert it to CD but you will need to nag me daily to do it as I don't like to do it - lots of effort just to ruin the lovely vinyl sound and I am also rather lazy!!

But nag me all the same and you might get some great Mittoo.

Do you have Getz Jazz Samba? That I do have on CD so a rip would be easy. I also have some J SMith on CD.

PM me for my email addy.

@Benjamin
Have looked for Im Flash Forward for long time. Any chance of setting me up with rips?

Generally, otherwise - I love the instrumental reggae - where are all the young new Jamaican players?

Tommy McCook's Top Secret. Love it. The CD reissue is a good rip of the vinyl - maybe even from tapes, dunno. Great tunes on there.
Everything Jackie Mittoo

Never have been able to warm to the Ranglin stuff - as a guitarist (mainly) I should empathize but I don't get his stuff.

The Trojan box set of instrumentals has some really wonderful tracks that have been keeping me happy for years. One of them comes on the ipod and I'm in a happy place.

The Tommy McCook and the Supersonics instrumentals on any of the Duke Reid/Treasure Isle compilations is almost always good - even - even the sound of music track about the goat. Hilarious but seriously good music - it is titled: Laba Laba Reggae (the Lonely Goat Herd) !!!!
What's that all about?

Of course all of the LP Upsetters instru stuff. It's almost all good.

Why do you ask?
Love it all (except for that which I don't!)

'I'm flash forward' is quite easy to find. I think I downloaded it 5 years ago or something...
