I hate to say it but...

I do really like the album.. But from what I understand he wasn't finished with the mixing and didn't even allow them to release it. I'm sure he didn't ok the artwork either..

I like the artwork much more than I like the LP. As mad Perry ramblings go, this one takes the biscuit!

Ugly in a cool way. I really love this album though. One of my favorite deejay albums.

I was thinking about the Mango Reggae Greats series LPs from the 1980s that were done using a kind of poster style. Most of them were just dreadful.
I remember the Black Uhuru album being particularly bad--purple and pink.
The exception that sticks out in my mind was the Linton Kwesi Johnson album-- that one looked really, really good.

Confession time for Leggo Rocker:
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am certain that drawing of the lady in question is copied directly from a photograph that appeared in a copy of Club International (or similar) in the 1970s. I think this because I used to, er, have the magazine and can remember thinking at the time how familiar that pose (and shoes, panties and dress) were as it was a particular favourite of mine! *blush*
