Since no one's mentioned them yet:

gussie clarkes Black Foundation Dub
Jimmy Radway - Dub I (lots of good horns esp. trombone, my fave)
Any of the Dub Specialist Studio One dub lps

I've been into the more musical, less dubby dub lately.
By which I mean: Scientist? No. Dub Specialist? Yes.

Not a value judgement, just my latest tendency. A month from now it could be the opposite.

I'll nominate Dub Me Girl from Dub Specialist's Dub CD:

http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2341

The dub to Mean Girl by Larry Marshall. Was it Leroy Sibbles on that session?

One of those archetypal bass lines that meanders melodically then comes down hard.

Aggrovators take is on Dubbing it Studio 1 style:

Since I discovered Bobby Kalphat's "the war is on dub style", imo, it's the best dub lp i have listened to, different material and so heavy!!!
