personally, now and again i like to mix up a few tunes from the one riddim. what i find is when mixing from a 12" to a LP and back then to say a 7" is not only do you need to adjust the tempo, but also the volume slide on the mixer, as the sound varies quite a lot sometimes. its an absolute must to know your records inside out. i wouldnt attempt to record a mix with records i didnt know first. also on the tempo theme, i have a ijahman album, love smiles, and imo its recorded way too fast. i slow this one down halfway between normal and slowest speeds to get the sound i like. but apart from that when just playing any record its on normal speed. sounds good to me everytime.
