Hi Lost Shoe,

"Earthquake Dub" was originally issued by Ossie Hibbert on his own Earthquake label.

A copy of the tape was then given to Count Shelley who released it in the UK on his Live and Love label as "Satisfaction In Dub" with the tracks retitled.

This has happen quite a bit over the years with Dub albums.

I already owned a pre-release of the Eartquake-lp. And while I was a little disappointed spending money on a record I do have in my shelf, it was interesting to hear the difference. The Eartquake-lp is louder, and different mixed. Much more rough. At least my pre-release.

Should be worth a new thread, where to post such double-releases with different covers, album titles, and even song titles.

You may be interested to know 'Orthadox Dub' by Revolutionaries (Matrix MFLP 1001) sold for £413 on ebay on the 7th May 2010. This had a plain white label and had the (incorrect) title scribbled on it.

I managed to download mp3 versions of both Orthodox albums by D-Roy and Clive Hunt's both are good but I prefer the D-Roy one. I'm not sure who the D-Roy Band are but I'm pretty sure 8 of the 10 tracks do not have Sly on drums.

Conflict Dub is also currently for sell as an unmarked album, I had a listen to the mp3 of this one and I'm 99% certain its by the Aggrovators.

As regards favorite dub albums I'll go with

Slum Dub by Gregory Isaacs or
Kaya Dub by the Aggrovators
