Leggo Rocker,

Whats your opinion on the newer stuff; Dub 911 and Nightshade?

To me they are a bit on the digital (polished) side, but still have that Overton Brown magic touch.

I recently picked up a bunch of Scientist albums off a friend. Havnt really filed through all of them. The ones you guys have mention were his recomendation (i.e. heavyweight champion, Big Showdown, Vampires, etc.) But, right now I'm listening to "Dubbin with Horns". Sounds really good to me... as the name suggest, lots of horns.

Hi,

I had the CD of Dubbin with horns on the Burning Sounds label.

A friend of mind had several of the Dub tracks from this CD on vinyl. The mixes were somewhat different and sounded lighter in comparison.

It appeared they had been remixed and had lost much of the analogue sound that were on the vinyl and they sounded somewhat more digital.

This also appears to be the same on "King Tubby meets Scientist in a world of Dub" and "King Tubby meets Scientist in a Dub Conference"

They just don`t have that right sound to my ears.

Respect

Dave
