Distortion mostly comes from a bad cartridge or from a lousy adjustment of tonearm/cartridge. It destroys the grooves. Mostly you can hear it towards the end of the record sides.

I've bought it a few days ago for 20 pounds....didnt have the time to listen to the whole lp so far, the few songs I've heard are great.

No no Lost shoe,
What i mean't was that my copy is minty fresh, I have no problem with the album but the mastering. the bass sounds a little distorted on some tracks, and the treble is a little overpowering especially on the high hats.

Still strange for me. While overpowering treble is almost common in Dub I really cannot hear any distortion in bass.

Well it plays fine anyway, not giving up my copy.
