I love it. Not quite on par with Hail H.I.M. but I think it has the same type of feel to the album. Nice hard, steady riddims with Spear's meditative singing. Jah Is My Driver is such a wicked track.

You're right though, seems to be a lesser known album and not talked about much.

yes jp - good summary

on my table now is Friends by Bob Andy - some nice tunes and the title track is in a smooth funky style

CD player has the Wonderman Years - massive selection of Scratch productions - I think from before the Black Ark. Multiple cuts of many riddims - Place Called Africa and Fever are amazing

Listening to Jah Mason - Rainbow Circle Throne. Incredible song. Who can imagine that just some years ago the UK Steppers scene was still interesting. Where are the JA-singer of today singing on those hard hard rhythms?

When Most Royal came out it didn't leave my player for a very long time. Might need to dig this one out and have a listen.

Listening to Delroy Washington LP's I-Sus and Rasta. One of the most underrated artists of the UK reggae from the eighties.

Today I found a nice copy of Black Slate - Mind Your Motion for a cool 75 SEK (~£7). So I'll be playing that one. Curious about the b-side.
