According to me, i will buy the vivian Weather, but not the badman possie of Junior Murvin, there are a lot of better album to be reissue, like the gladiators "naturality", messenjah "rock you high", black slate "siren in the city" and "six plus one" and "rasta festival", merger "prisoner of your love", mighty diamonds "changes" etc ...

Got it yesterday-played today-IMO vocals are mixed too far down- dont get the full power of the harmonies -but instead too much keyboard and rhthym git-bit of a dissapointment really-prefer Stand Up To your Judgement

Funky Punk: great comment. This is probably linked to the session being recorded in the Bahamas. A record worth purchasing, but, for recorded outside of Jamaica Diamond stuff, I still prefer Ice & Fire over this one.

On a side note: Apparently, Lee Perry didn't think much of the Diamonds, hence why we dont have a Diamonds LP produced by Perry, for example, instead of this Bahamas holiday trip. I have to say they scored with Right Time and Gussie's "Changes" + a few 7" and 12", but I am not a fan of the rest, even if Tabby s voice is sweet as candy.

Have you heard Kouchie Vibes? That is a very good album. Leaders Of Black Countrys is a nice one too.

Who gives a crap? Like having an LP produced by Lee Perry is such a big deal... In reality most of the people who had LP's produced by Perry had very few other albums produced by other producers compared to say Dennis Brown, Cornell Campbell, Gregory Isaacs, Mighty Diamonds, johnny Osbourne, johnny Clarke the list of people Perry didn't produce LP's for who have dozens of albums to their names is much bigger than the list of Perry produced artists who only have a few albums to their names.

I've always wondered if it was more likely that people who couldn't get produced elsewhere went to Perry, and that he with his superior artistic mind was more able to see potential in them than other producers

To me Perry is the small upstart 'independent' producer who did not have his pick and choice of artists like say Bunny Lee

I never personally thought much of this album. Its pretty crap compared with "Right Time", "Stand Up for Your Judgemnt" and "Leaders of Black Country"

Congo Bunny: my point was that Planet Earth was recorded during 1978 when Perry was still at its peak. We'll never know, but my point was that a Diamonds LP recorded at Black Ark would probably have resulted in something better than this Bahamas LP.

Imagine RIGHT TIME tracks produced by Perry, in a similar vein to Heptones Party Time!!!!! WOW
