Had the pleasure to play in Mikey Dreads band and he was one of the few people to call and say thank you after he had returned home.

R.I.P Jumping Master

Just logged on to the board and seen this terrible news.

I knew of Mikey's illness from back last year but had hoped, like everyone, he would recover.

This is very sad. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

RIP Mikey........your music will live, no doubt.

Goodbye to the Dread at the Controls

Mikey led an illustrious life. Dread and Music. He was one of my first inspitarions when at Titchfied High he was the basment man setting up a school radio a few of us were able to tune to on our transistor radio. Playing look-out the Pricipal for him was fun.

Played you some tunes saturday night mr dread, we all danced to the sound of those old ruff tunes.

I remember when he spent a week or two in Boston, Massachusetts...back in 1993/4 or so. I was a radio disc jockey at WERS 88.9 FM and I believe Mikey Dread took a liking to my lovely female co-worker.

I have a friend who just finished an intense round of radiation for a brain tumor, so I feel really bad about Mikey dying at such a young age.
