a pocket protector - now excuse me those US people born and bred here (I can't say 'native americans' as it would make no sense, like much of current people labelling!) but yanks know them as those weird plastic sleeve things that protect a shirt pocket from getting ink stains. Apparently these things have been seen in action without irony. (!)
Weird as all hell. Something that goes back to the corporate IBM type personal appearance thing. and I suppose geeks just being geeks - their parents love them, I'm sure of that...
Did i use thing too often? Love that word. Especially t'ing and I love to drink Ting.
I generally don't have shirt pockets...but in summer I have more than I need. A nice collection of guayaberas - si mi hombres y muchachas.
What next?

/. a source I'm sure you know - aggravatingly stupid but self correcting in the comments.
Grateful there is no such modding in this forum
Time to watch the Onion film which is unlikely to include an iteration of Tubby's beep
peace me bredren - wish me luck on what I'm about to see...

Does anybody know the beep Lee Perry used on "Such is Dub" (to be found on megaton dub). The track starts with a beep, but the timing is unbelievable.

Geek too perhaps. Just because I don't have the thick glasses, pocket protector and braces on my teeth does not mean that I am at heart as nerdly and geekish as the rest of you on the RA forum!
...well at least there's nobody stealing lunch money here...
Lol , geeks have evolved fashion-wise .If you ever attend some these conferences like the Linux Expo or the Java One conferences, you'll see geeks in designer t-shirts and absolutely no pocket protectors!

that also reminds me of Roast fish and Cornbread / Lee Perry track, that also have the continous beeping throughout the song too.

I am a little suspicious myself about that 'beep' in "Such is Life'.
I think it's a Tony Owens beep rather than a Perry one.

Pretty sure there is only one version with beeps - "Knocking Version". Couple of beeps in that version though!

Clearly Megaton Dub Vol 2 contains misplaced overdubs. i do not notice this on Volume 1 or am I mistaking here (apart from the beep on Such is Life).
