@ Dubbaddikt
Already found it and placed a bid. But I'm afraid the final price will be much more horrible than 320.
I will do my best, but I'm no millionaire ....
Anyhow thanks so much for the hint. I will tell you the outcome. Need good luck or more money

It's at least better than nothing, but the reissue was made out of a vinyl source as there are no more mastertapes of course. So besides the authenticity of an original pressing you should definitely get the better sound.

I'd love to have "King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown" in vinyl with this cover:
[cover=286,322]
I'd also be interested in "Screaming Target" by Big Youth.

I understand the attraction of having a first generation copy from a master tape but for now i treated myself at the weekend to the pressure sounds release.
will let you know my thoughts on it...

Geo Dude, the release you want is the 1982 pressing on Shanachie records.
Screaming Target is a worthy addition to your collection, the riddims/dubs are so tuff and Big Youth is on top form.If you are into cds there is a cd version which has the original vocals to the riddims as bonus tracks.

Yes, I am into CDs. I mainly want the Pablo on vinyl because of the beautiful cover, hence the importance of that particular release.

I'm very interested in Screaming Target on CD, I've simply been unable to find it.
As for the Augustus Pablo on vinyl: Any ideas how to find that?

Hard to believe that I missed Screaming Target at Ernie's. I've been meaning to put in a 'test drive' order there, I'll make sure to include that in it.
Unfortunately, the shipping cost puts either of those copies of the Pablo vinyl out of my reach.

I'll keep watching E-Bay.
