All producers i rate highly did some terrible stuff, maybe even more than 50% of their stuff is bad, but it's the gems that make them brilliant.
Take Lee Perry, or even the revered Yabby You.

His personality, spirituality and talent make him remarkable to reggae...he's a reggae genius... a legend ...nothing more to say... my favorite out of everybody else... I listen to his stuff every day or every other day and never get tired of listen. Not mentioning his productions... Ricky Grant, Tetrack, Delroy Williams, Norris Reid, Icho Candy, Paul Blackman, Horace Andy, Jah Bull, Earl 16, Mundell, Jacob Miller... which producer was more has more consistent work than Pablo?? practically nobody... enough said
pps: totally agree with OrthodoxReuben his under rated and not over rated!!
Bless to all

AP kinda has a Bob Marley thing goin for him. To me the catch is that of the people who say, "Yeah Austus Pablo is great sure, how can you say you like reggae but not Augustus Pablo?" have never heard of many other crucial reggae personalities like Alimantado, hugh mundell, michael prophet.
I think he's overrated and my appreciation for reggae music is deep but the response on this forum indicates i'm in the minority.

I'll agree that "Rockers meets King Tubby" is over-rated.
