Just been listening to the Touareg group Tinariwen album Amassakoul from 2004. They're from Mali. The John Lee Hookers of the Sahara

Reggae-wise Burning Spear's Living Dub Vol 1 and his new release The Experience have been bouncing around these eardrums of late....

The "Take we back" 12" has one of the heaviest bass sound I've ever heard !!! Sometimes, I have to put more weight on the needle to prevent it from skipping... A real killer in the dance that !!!

Ska Bonanza -- The Studio One "Ska" Years (2006, double LP)

Good selection of material, so-so pressing. I'm more likely to complain about recordings mastered at too high a level, but this one is way too quiet.
