I need to check if I've got this one... and then check if they are really on riddims recorded in studio one. the man sugar minott always refers to studio one even if the music is recorded in a cheap studio with bad musicians. his recent tribute to studio one is a clear example of what i'm saying.
it's really sad to see someone who actually owes everything to coxsone destroying studio one masterpieces like that.
I don't think a man like Sugar Minott ever intended to directly or indirectly disrespect Mr. Dodd, i think he was singing through revised version of the riddims, digital wise. Mr. Dodds family and heartbeat are responsible for releasing this stuff currently and they see no problem with the quality.
Please keep looking for that LP and send me audio, the uptempo record from the info I've gathered it's original Studio one riddims with the other members of African Bros on one side

sorrt roddy, I don't have the sugar minott you were talking about... the comment on popsike's site says riddims are dubplates from studio one. if it's true it's steange that no one here seems to know it or have heard of it?

I am of course talking rubbish.
There's only one Uptempo Showcase.
In my accelerating dementia I got confused and was thinking of the two Dancehall Showcase 10" records. Which are both very very good.
