Isn't it about time this thread was made an honorable stickie?
I'm rocking the house at 7am to the sounds of:
Zion Gate - Culture - Joe Gibbs 12 inch 45
and
Rope In - Cornell Campbell - Joe Gibbs 12 inch 45

Disco EP Showcase - Ranking Joe - Art and Craft ACD 005 12 inch 45
I have maybe a dozen disco 45s on this brilliant label and yet there isn't a dud number among them. This superb showcase style EP by Ranking Joe keeps the same high standards.
Brilliant DJ, superb backing tracks and a great production too.
It's a shame that these Art and Craft disco 45s are so expensive nowadays!

I'm trying to sort out a couple of boxes of 12 inchers to take to my next DJ set (see the thread about the reggae night in Portsmouth, UK) So I have been working through boxes of shortlisted 12s.
This is playing at the moment:
Hunter Man - Barrington Levi / Jah Thomas - Burning Rockers BRD029 (red wax!)
Barrington Levi was gifted one of the best reggae voices by Jah. He hasn't wasted that gift on this track, taken from the Hunter Man LP. This is a classic. Great vocals, tuff riddim track and a DJ talkover by Jah Thomas at his absolute best on the version side.
