whats "reggae breaks"? I don't know how to describe the genre... its sounds more like african style than jamaican style.

Anyway its a vocal album by two congolese singers singing in lingala. Theres also few songs where they sing in english with Scratch.

If you're hardcore Black Ark fan then you must have this album.

Well, its not reggae but played by reggae people and the sound is affected this way.

Thanks... I love to the max some of the Ark sound, but some really never touch me... So cant claim to be an hardcore fan.

Not much slappy 2 just a hobby to find obscure Perry stuff. Just by ear. Heard these two and thought I heard Perry's signature but okay I also sometimes think WOMAN A GENAL - ANDELL AND BOLIVAR is a black ark production while the whole reggaeworld is saying it is a 1972 production. So who am I. My advise just listen allot. Also the two I mention and make up your mind.

"Reggae breaks" are simply open drums or mood interludes in reggae tunes (usually happening at the intro i.e U Roy's "tom Drunk", Lee Perry's Westbound Train instrumetnal (can't hink of the name right now, Wailers "Belly Full", Bunny Clarke's "love Time"(I could go on for months on this), etc.
