Does anybody out there own, or know anything about this matrix nomber??
Apparently it was never issued and ive never heard it played anywhere before. I think its the Melodians but i could be way off the mark, and maybe im not searching hard enough but i can find NO INFO AT ALL pertaining to this matrix no.
Maybe roots archives can help?? It was recorded late 60's., maybe '68 or '69.....
Any info much appreciated, bless up.

Checked out the Gas discography in " Tighten Up-The History Of Reggae In The UK " by Michael de Koningh and Marc Griffiths . Its stated in there as not issued .
Previous matrix is Gas 126 by Nellie( Hinds ) and Gas 128 is by Vincent Brown ( a white label only release )
Have you tried asking at the Pama Forum website , btw ?

Jahsteppa, I also have that book above and the Trojan records story. To sum it up from the info gained from both books. For example let's say, you're a leading reggae label owner in the UK. The most expensive part of a record manufacture I was told was the label printing itself. Hotshot producer from Jamaica has graced your office with his latest hot tune. You sign a deal with him, license it, press up some demo's or go straight for release, complete with a catalogue number. And just as you're about to ship it to the shops, you hear or get a call from one of your rivals that he has the rights to the tune, and he got the rights before you did. Gas 127 is not going to come out. Both Island and Trojan catalogues are littered with numbers that weren't issued for whatever reason. Pama, the owners of Gas wouldn't be any different.
