Are you talking about Johnny Walker the 1970's roots artist from JA? you can also find him singing with the band "Stannie and the Starlights" which is very hard to find(tracks like Oil in my lamp, killa track) but Johnny is lead vocal on may of their tracks.
If your refering to the same Johnny he is still around with his band now called Johnny Walker and The Dissapointers and a film has recently been made about them. They live in the Blue Mountains and i will be doing the European premier of this film in Birmingham and The Drum on 8th July, well worth coming to see(plus many other films over 2 days), they have one of Burning Spears bassists playing with them. The film previewed in JA last year and the crowd went crazy for this film so we're hoping to see this film go onto become a classic. The story is true and for them is still happening right now, the success of the film dictates their future now. They will also be releasing a CD album very soon.....

Any idea on the date of that 12"? not sure if it's the same guy but the Johnny Walker i know has been around produciong stuff since the 70's.
He's from Portland and is still producing music and there will be a new album released very soon, any time. You can find out more in the film about Johnny and the band which really is an amazing film, well worth watching, for more info check the website:
www.reggaeintheruff.com
You can see pictures of Johnny on there, he is the guys with the thin face and beard, the lead man.
They did a real killa track in the 70's under the name Stannie and the Starlite's(think is was called Thank the Lord, or Oil in I Lamp) and Stannie is still with them too also Jah Youth(who u can see a video of here:
http://youtu.be/uXLl8yXdtBI
but this is not the same JAH Youth as the Jah Youth who did "Rat A Cut bottle" that some of us know who recently done stuff with inna de yard, different guy.
The Jah Youth in the video has a son who is a singer named Kultural who is a up and coming artist in JA who had a track being played on IRIE FM alot recently, there will be more coming from all these guys in the near future after the release of the film.
