I'm not usually a fan of covers, but did anyone check out the new reggae rendition of Radiohead's 'Radiodread' by Easy Star All-Stars? There are a few tracks on their myspace page, that aren't too bad. Thoughts?

yeah, heard that on myspace, easy all star wrote me it would be available on 22 of august.. I love the tunes, I feel like it's a quite free interpration, more than on dub side.. but I like it. It makes the vibe happy. strange but delightful thing on radiohead

Here is an e-card as well, that I was just sent. Nothing really new here, although it looks like there will be a video up soon. I believe they are working on a video for "Let Down."

Nice interview here as well with one of the producers of the album: www.giantstep.net/news/237. Puts some context to why they decided to cover Radiohead as well as some of the difficulties they encountered.

now that this album is out, just wanted to have your vibe. I was disapointed with most of the songs, especially because of the voices, too close from the original melody, bad choice I think with singers like kirsty rock or frankie paul. not rootsy enough. The reggae translation of some songs is also quite laborious. Still, I really love exit music with sugar minott and let down with toots, electioneering with morgan h. is ok.
Maybe did easy all star were a little too ambitious.
Bless up
