Where to go with the Congos?

So I got Heart of the Congos a while ago and absolutely love it, but I've never got another Congos album as I don't know where to go next.
Any recommendations? I've heard some of their more recent stuff at my mate's house and it seems quite upbeat and funky rather than the tribal stuff on HotC.
Thanks

I really rate their *Congo Ashanti* set and also the *Image of Africa*. The former more than the latter though.
I also think that they've had a couple of really worthwhile »new« albums too such as *Give Them the Rights* or the wonderfully titled *Cock Mouth Kill Cock*.

The Congos went after the Heart of the Congos astray. Not much very good things....Just like Ijahman after the the are we a warrior

Ijahman has done some really great stuff after Are We A Warrior. My favourite song of his (Closer To You) is on his Tell It To The Children LP.

While they never again reached the heights of *Heart of the Congos* I too would follow it up with *Congo Ashanti*. Also check out *Inna De Yard* from 2005. Regarding Ijahman I would say he kept it going strong up until 1986's *I Do*.

Heart Of The Congos is the best album ever, all categories!:D
(B&F 2-CD version, preferably)
So, of course, there is no other as great Congos album, but Congo Ashanti is the best of the rest. The Indigo CD has extra tracks, including a version of Feast Of The Passover.(tu)

Heart of the Congos is the best, and I agree Congo Ashanti and Image of Africa rate high.
but Lion Treasure might be their second best. it has alternate (usually better) versions of the songs from their 70's albums, including a wonderful discomix of Feast of the Passover, a much improved version of Music Maker (from Image of Africa) + dub, and Thief is in the Vineyard. 18 tracks in all.

"Face The Music" is a very crucial album.

Regarding the Lion Treasure album:
The versions of Feast Of The Passover, Music Maker/Dub and Thief Is In The Vineyard are the same as on the above mentioned Imago CD of Congo Ashanti.
And I don´t think the Lee Perry-produced tracks are any different than the originals from Heart Of The Congos.
It is a nice compilation, though!
