Several pages reporting that Barry Llewellyn of the Heptones died yesterday in a Kingston Hospital.
May he rest in peace, the reggae and rocksteady community will always remember him as one of the foundation masters.
Thanks for all the beautiful harmonies- as was mentioned in a thread recently: they are hard to find nowadays.
Play on, Mr. Music!

Really sad news. I saw him perform with Leroy Sibbles, a few years ago, as the Heptones. The crowd begged them to sing "Sufferer's Time", on which he sang lead vocal, and they obliged.

R.I.P. Barry.

Saw him this summer in Germany with Leroy Sibbles performing so sweet.

Sad to hear another legend has passed.

His music lives on.

RIP

Look when the rain is falling from the sky,
I know the sun will be only missing for a while.
Stronger people, like you and me,
Will be builders for eternity,
Each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass, and the book of rules.

RIP Heptones Barry. Gone but never forgotten.
