Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any roots, dancehall or any type of reggae music musicians who commited suicide.

If you don't like this topic don't reply, simple as that. There are tons of other topics on roots archives. Why don't you post your nonsensical replies under your real names? As I have? That's right - because you cower behind anonymity and also follow herd mentality, ie ignoring my question or taking it seriously just because one other fellow started it off as such.

There has never been a reggae musician who has committed suicide? This might be the only genre that doesn't have anyone.

This is my real (sur)name. And there are reggae artists who have commited suicide (not gping to mention any names). It's offensive because it is a VERY private subject regarding people that were deeply depressed and decided to do something very tragic. Your curiosity is not of so high importance to bring forth their names at public forrums where friends and relatives can see it. Let their music be their legacy and not the tragedy in their personal lifes.

So there are some, they just aren't reported on or known by most, and those that know would rather keep it quiet? Incredible. But fair. How much more respectful it would've been, from you, to just have said that in the first place instead of assuming I'm "looking for acknowledgement/confirmation". You pretend to care so much about the feelings of surviving people in in the music who might have been effected by suicide. Yet it's a pretty douchy thing to do on your part to assume anything instead of just responding truthfully and with a normal answer, as you did after I called you out. Think before you write.
