Got a friend who remembers a Ska track from around 1967 either called Michaels in Love or maybe with that line in the lyric. I don't know it does anyone else? Cheers.

It's soul not ska but he could be thinking of "Michael (the Lover)" by Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band from that era...
