Killer reggae covers

I've been trying to make playlists recently of original songs (mostly, but not exclusively, soul music) and their reggae covers where both songs are really good. As my knowledge of non-reggae songs isn't that good, i'm wondering if anyone has song suggestions that are a little more obscure, and hence, I maybe won't know them. Here are a some examples:
1. Al Green- Love and happiness vs Upsetters- Jungle lion
2. The Meters- sophisticated sissy vs I Roy- Dr Who
3. Aretha Franklin- Don't play that song vs The Moving Brothers (same)
4. The Tams- Laugh it off vs Ronnie Davis (same)
5. Temptations- Runaway child vs Dave Barker (same)
Etc...
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Go deh, go deh!

That is a good one. I feel like Alton did a ton of soul covers, but I only know of a handfull. His voice is so soulful, he would have done well in Motown, I think.

Funny, I was going to post on an old thread about this as I heard Johnnie Taylor's original version of Ain't That Loving You for More Reasons than One on the radio at the weekend and realised Alton Ellis' Treasure Isle version copies the arrangement note for note but they're both great.

Sorry, I meant In these times by Errol Walker.

Also realised i have a nice version of U made me so very happy by Barrington Levy. He may beat out Alton for the spot on the playlist.
