looking for one his ska songs...all i remember it was very up beat ska song.

Don't know any really upbeat songs, or what I would consider ska, by him. "Clap clap" is an early upbeat reggae song, tho. More info would certainly help.

Thanks for responding.but its an actual ska song its a faster beat.some one played it fire me a long tone ago from a max romeo comp.CD...

This compilation from Jamaican Gold has some wonderful early stuff - from pre-ska R&B sounds up to the reggae period

The earliest tracks on that JA Gold comp are from 1967, they are rock steady cuts by The Emotions. Similarly the Trojan comp "The Coming Of Jah" also begins with the Emotions tracks. If he did record any ska, it would have been very late era, and probably for a smaller label, or else it would have been reissued by now.

OK - I remember a whole heap of styles on that one, so it might be worth checking still if the tune you're looking is off a comp CD.
