Hi can anyone tell me a good/easy to use software pack that let's you transfer records onto CD. Needs to have a de-clicking/hiss & crackle removal feature.
many thanks

Audacity has that feature. It's not perfect but none of them can make everything disappear. When I first started recording vinyl into digital I used that. Now I just leave it the way it was recorded. An old record is still gonna have some audible pops, but the remover reduces the obvious ones. The more you try to remove the more muffled you recording will get.

ClickRepair and DeNoiser work very well, way better and way easier than anything else i've used - including the uber-expensive Waves plug-ins. it's about $40 for each, well worth it....
i have made some really horrendous G+ records sound pretty damn good with some experimenting. DeNoiser you have to be a bit careful with, but you can get away with 6-9 dB of noise reduction with little or no apparent artifacts which is pretty amazing when you A/B the results. you'll hear things you never heard in the record.
but the star of the show is DeClick, absolutely astounding, effortless and easy to use. makes you almost rethink buying G+/VG- records, and makes records in really good shape even better.
