A bit off-topic as i can't find an appropriate existing thread, but i'm sure it will interest some people here, here's a tune from the famous BBC electronic soundlab's Daphne Oram. There's no date but it was probably made sometimes in the late 60s (or early 70s?).

Here's the track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5z5OQbxjOs (end excerpt of "Bird of Parallax")
.. i'm not sure whether the "dub" feeling was inspired by the jamaican mode or if there are others inspirations. Sound like an early Augustus Pablo who have found an electronic melodica.

Have you met some similar early songs which share a similar dub feeling?

I don't think there's any Jamaican influence. I think it's just the product of messing around in the studio with reverb, tape loops etc. Interesting track though. There's some great 60s BBC electronic stuff by Delia Darbyshire-some of that stuff is incredibly ahead of its time.
