I picked up a used copy of *Deeply Concerned* by Don Carlos, since I don't have any of his music in my collection. I thought it was pretty good, but think I can do better. Which Don Carlos albums do people rate the best?

I really like Roots and Culture (Culture with Don Carlos). I just got Day to Day Living which is also very good.

These four albums are all crucial in my opinion. The latter two are easily available. The former two not as much. My favourite of the bunch is probably the shared one with the Gladiators. What an incredible set it is.

I have all his albums that he made upto 1985 and they are all good.

If I had to pick a couple of favorites though they would be in order of

Pure Gold
Them Never Know Natty Dread have him credential
Day to Day Living
Prison Oval Clash

A nice thing too is that most of his albums of the period 80-85 are widely accessible on both vinyl and CD at reasonable prices too :)

Harvest time should be easy to find on CD.

Day to Day Living is a very good album. Can't go wrong with Junjo and the Radics.

I'm with Kalcidis, the set with the Gladiators is amazing.

Just A Passing Glance is a good one as well as Raving Tonight.
That showcase with the The Gladiators is a must have.

The "Suffering" album kalcidis lists is very good, and readily available on CD but under the title "Prophecy"

I second that one, as well as the Gladiators split.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured his early 1980s albums would be the ones to seek out.
