Roots Radics Meets Scientist And King Tubby In A Dub Explosion - who dubbed this really?

Just listened to this CD today.

AFAIK, Tubby never actually met the Radics - and it doesn't sound like Scientist's work to me either (though I could be wrong).

Anyone know who actually mixed these tracks, because it does sound really good...

You're right, it doesn't sound as "crazy" as Scientist's mixes on the Greensleeves releases. Still it could be him.

Well it could be Scientist mixing the Radics at Tubby's Studio. Maybe the Tubby thing is totally fake and it was mixed at Channel One.

I think it's a Jah Thomas/Midnite Rock Production, so it could be Barnabas at the mixing desk. Jah Thomas used him a lot when Scientist moved to Tuff Gong Studios. But my guess would be Scientist at Channel One mixing the Radics for Jah Thomas.

Edit: Some of the tracks on my CD have some strange short intros by Capleton. What's up with that? Jah Thomas used his time machine?

Those intros really suck, I put the tracks in sound forge and clipped them off, such a crap modern add on.

I just assumed it was all scientist at the controls, would love to know if it was someone else

That's Capleton? I just assumed that it was Jah Thomas introducing some of the tracks...

Many of the songs on this album are from the LP "Roots Splashdown - Roots Radics Live at Reggae Sunsplash"
The album credits the mixing to Scientist, Solgie, Peter Chemist and Barnabus at Channel One Studios.
Very nice dub LP!

@Funky Punk:
These "more fire" and "blazing" chants in the intros is Capleton, most def! I was on a ragga trip in the late 90s ;-) so I'm totally sure.

@Congo Bunny:
Agree, the intros totally suck. So incredibly unnecessary.

@CPM:
Sadly I never heard that "Roots Splashdown" LP. Well I guess we'll never know for sure who mixed exactly what.

A live album that isn't really live?

Did they get the idea for that from King Tubby's 'Surrounded By The Dreads At The National Arena 26th. September 1975'? :)

Or "Roots Radics Live at Channel One", a "live" album of Jah Thomas b-sides...

Hard to find clips of most of the songs from sunsplah LP, do you happen to know which of the tracks from dub explosion are on the sunsplash LP and how they map over?
