I have a cassette recording of the "Rootsman show" (WHBI) New York from July 24 1982. Although it is only one side of a 90 min cassette, there is some great music and DJ talk by Earl Chin.
There is also a cool plug for the Meditations along with Sister Carol at the Harlem World for that same night. I have had this tape since new. I know all the great songs and artists except for the last song.

I think is the Meditations.

However, I can't find any reference to them singing it. I believe the title is "dready ain't having none"??.

If it helps.....here are some of the lyrics:

"Everyone rejoicing now, everyone's having fun but dready ain't having none, cause he know what next to come".

Thank you to anyone that can confirm my feelings it's the Meditations.

Wanks, Thank you for the info. That is indeed the song. However, not the version that is on my tape. The version you shared seems to have more "mix" with another song.
Here is a link I found to the exact copy I have:

http://youtu.be/q6jxhOKwp_Q

By the way.... The tape I have has the following tracks:

Chill Out - Black Uhuru
Rat Race - Bob Marley
Zion Train - Bob Marley
Forever Loving Jah - Bob Marley
Cream Of My Crop - Gregory Isaacs
Sweetie Come Brush Me - John Holt
I'm Getting Married In The Morining - Yellowman
Looby Loo - Michigan & Smiley
Hold On To What You Got - Dennis Brown
Blues Raid Dance - Steel Pulse
Just My Imagination - Tristan Palma
Carpenter Rebuild - The Meditations

Along with dialog from Earl Chin and others like Smiley, etc....
I need to transfer this to disc and preserve it once and for all.
