I wonder if Scientist or King Tubby or any other mixers/engineers are/were able to play any instruments like guitar, organs, keyboard, bass or any other equipment excluding mixing/engineering.

Could you please advise on this?

This include singers - i believe there are some who can't/couldn't play instruments but can sing very well too.

Which singers do you know who can't play instruments but can only do the singing?

Not sure if this topic was covered before.

Apparently Freddie MacGregor played the drums on most of the Studio One redubbed cuts.
The tracks with the overdubbed drums/bass drum/foot pedal stylee.
Most of these tracks were originally dubplate releases like Heptones' 'Fight To The Top' and plenty of others that i cannot currently remember.
At that time i thought the drums sounded a little off beat, but listening to some of these tunes over the years and i have come to rate highly. This is what makes Studio One so unique.
