Thanks, all - some names I know and others have yet to meet... I still think this site is great and have gained much knowledge from you all! Been listening to reggae since early 80's and no intention of letting up! Thanks, RA MASSIVE!!

I've learned a lot from this forum as well! It's sculpted my taste in some ways. When I first joined I was kind of trolling a bit because where I'm from everyone was anti-dancehall and strictly roots, but I was kind of burnt on roots and very much into dancehall. I knew a lot of people who thought gangsta rap was funny or cool but would turn their noses up at any Jamaican music that was slack or gangsta because reggae was supposed to be righteous and about roots. I thought that was a pretty stupid double standard. But anyway I got back into roots in a big way from this forum! And strangely, now a lot of the people who used to hate dancehall are getting all into it, while I've moved back to roots mostly. Weird. I'm getting older too; I like the more laid back style. Dancehall is kind of a young man's game.
