Hi there... I'm an old member but haven't posted in quite a while.

I'm looking for a track by Tommy Mccook (and the Supersonics possibly)... it's an old rocksteady riddim with a dj on the top. Don't know the name of the riddim but at least two versions of it were recorded in the 70s: 'East Africa' on African Dub chapter 1...it's also the same as Dillinger's Cool Operator.

Can't recall the title, except there's a singing line that has the line "Keep you rocking..." repeated... and the dj is going 'rub it from the top, from the top, from the top, never stop never stop'...

I would be really happy if someone out there could give me the title... here's hoping and thank you in advance. :-)

PS... this track is rocksteady about 1967 I'd guess.

You could try "Love Is Not A Gamble".

There are 2 DJ versions one by Dennis Alcapone and one by U Roy.

Not sure if its either as these as can`t recall exact lyrics on those 2 versions but they are definitely the right riddim.

You are a star... thank you. It was the Dennis Alcapone one I was looking for. :-)
