can anyone let me know if joe white= sentimental reason is haard roots

I only know Joy White, a female singer, not Joe, tune called Sentimental Reason.
That's a lovers tune, as for backing tracks not so soft, but can hardly be described as roots.

You're a reggae fan and have never heard of Joe White? You need to get outside more.

Got it/ It's an enjoyable LP but not a killer from start to finish. "Dread Out Deh" is THE tune from this one, a killer.
