Anyone have any info on this dub lp apparently released in 1990 on Attack? Can't find much info other than it appears to be a nice collection of tubby/aggrovators dubs/versions.

Thanks JJ, it looks like there are more questions than answers for this release-- maybe only Bunny Lee knows the details.

Totally unrelated note: RIP Nelson Mandela, a great, great man (and one who's inspired some excellent reggae tunes!)

This was released in 1990 along with "Dub Justice" so it is not really a classic 1970s dub lp but rather a set of Striker Lee dubs from the Aggrovators era that was compiled years later. It is not bogus, however -- as it was compiled by Bunny himself and contains genuine dubs from the classic Striker/Tubby era.

all B-sides from the "Jackpot" label...there's a few dubs on here that are not found on any other collection of striker dubs

Thanks for the link Red I, that site is a great resource for Tubby dub inquiries. Very excited to receive this LP in the mail; also might check out Dub Justice, looks like another excellent compilation of mid-70s Tubby dubs (though I think I have most of these cuts on other comps, and the cover art is just horrendous).

One of the first reggae albums I bought and still one of my faves. Excellent compilation, great sound too.

Sound quality is fine on both LPs. Bobbo summed it up, I think. Couldn't say track for track, but remember picking these up because each one had a few songs not available anywhere else. My copies are mixed at a low level compared to 70s vinyl. Not really a problem, but I definitely had to adjust levels when archiving these ...

Interesting releases because, in a way, they were like proto-Blood And Fire compilations. Not classic 70s dub lps, but rather lps of classic 70s dub sides compiled retroactively. Similar to Glen Brown's "Dub From The Southeast" which came out around the same time and was similarly formulated...
