Does anyone know if there is and if so, what is the connection with Wackie's?

It's an early Jackpot release (1972) produced by Stranger Cole

Only the vocal cut has a connection with lloyd barnes.
I think stranger used the Barnes label to released his tune on US market.Lloyd Barnes began to produce only around 1973.

I think you are right in 1973 Stranger moved to Canada were he came in contact with the American producers and released stuff he already recorded or released and Bullwackie was just an outlet eg

Stranger Cole - It Takes Time

On Aires

On La Fud Del

Matrix on the latter 504-A- and 504-B- indicates an American pressing. That is in favour of Wackies. But is strange because this woud be the only la fud del pressed outside Jamaica. Also Christian Fud productions sounds like earlier 70ties upsetter productions. Christian probably used more or less the same musicians.

This sounds like a jamaican recorded session not like an early wackies to mine humble opinion.

But pressed in NY strange ;) I would say Stranger Cole got the tapes and Wackies pressed and released it on his lable. But for some reasons there were also la fud del copies pressed, May be this was how the deal between cole - wackies - Christian Fud was struck
