Is it a ja or us label (in the late 70's)?.
For me ,it's an us one but on severals web record shops ,the singles are indicated as ja issue.
On most of the 7",it's written "Made In Jamaica" and "dist. by vp records" with the NY adress.

VP Records has it's headquarters based in the US although it was started in Jamaica. I do believe that there is still some buisiness asscociation in Jamaica i.e. possibly distribution and promotion. But the chances are that the tunes are pressed in America. It makes more economical sense to import the cds/records than to import the materials to press them in Jamaica. To me, they're a US based Jamaican label. Just like Island was under Chris Blackwell, Coxone Dodd/Studio One and Joe Gibbs Music etc. They relocated or opened up studios and shops in the USA.

Thanks for your answers,guys.
For me ,it's only an US label.I've seen only 21 7"( for the 70's) and i don't think there are some Chin Brothers productions including.
Bunny Lee ,Dennis Brown, Dudley Swaby or Niney The Observer have used this label to released their own productions on US market.
When the Chin family closed the Randy studio, there were no more productions on their severals labels like Randy's ,Demon,Impact!,Wisdow or Giant.
So, it's possible that Vp was a label only for distribution.
