I seem to remember that Trojan were supposed to be reissuing this a few years ago, but for whatever reason, it never happened.

Wow, seems like Jamaican Recordings are trying to corner the market.
When you look at how many hoops Pressure Sounds, Hot Milk etc have to jump through to secure the rights to release music you really do have to question the legitimacy of these Jamaican Recording releases when you see so many of them flooding the market

Has it ever been established exactly who owns JR? Bunny Lee?
I own a couple of the Jamaican Recordings Tapper Zukie reissues - and they do claim in the booklets to be licensed directly from Zukie. I'd imagine that he'd have been complaining loudly about it on the internet by now, and telling people to boycott the label if this wasn't true...

The MPLA re-issue was perfect, so lookin' forward to this one. It's about time we gave JR a break I think. There are some great releases on that label. Check Brass Rockers and Shalom dub for two examples.

I've honestly had no complaints with their reissues or new compilations of vocal stuff that I've heard. I have quite a few of their CDs.
It's the dub side of their output that pisses people off.

Yeah I believe so FP, especially the Lee Perry titles although I do like the Tappa Zukie rare dubs album without really knowing its authenticity and it sounds touched up!

If you have Trojan's 'Musical Intimidator Anthology' you'll have all but 4 of these tracks already (including the 2 bonus tracks featured on this latest CD).
His LP 'International' features a couple of tracks from MFBozrah as well I notice.

The samples I heard of Tappa's Rare Dubs at Ernie B's sounded terrible ,especially on tracks 2,4,6, & 7.

My favourites CD's from Jamaican Recordings would include 'Shalom Dub' , Tappa's 'Horns Up', & Tommy's 'Dubbing With Horns'.
